Corbyn's Cove beach is the most visited beach in Port Blair. In fact, according to a 2015 survey by Our Team, it is evident that 7 out of 10 people visit the beach on their trip to the aisles. Needless to say, the place lives up to its name by offering one of the most ecstatic sceneries on the islands.
Corbyns cove beach has one of the longest constructed shorelines in Port Blair shaped in a crescent way that stretches up to 1.5 Km in length, with a fairly wide area open on both sides.
The absence of underwater reefs and the right amount of sand stiffness makes sure your feet are safe from cuts and sea creatures during your swim.
The beach is divided into 2 parts in width, one for relaxation and the other for swimmers, which also acts as a wall in times of the high tide. It has an abundance of coconut trees that provide the feel of tropical relaxation. The beach also has sleep benches which really come in handy if you are looking to relax at the shore after a tiring day.
The beach has washrooms and changing room facilities for visitors which are cleaned and maintained from time to time. Do not forget to carry your beach essentials such as sunscreens, shades, extra clothing, swimsuits, etc, so that you can have a comfortable day at the beach.
Corbyn’s Cove Beach is not too far from the city it is easily reachable, you can rent a car or scooter else another vehicle to the beach and it takes about 20 minutes for you to reach the place. If you are looking for a romantic escape or seclusion then it is perfect to pay a visit to Corbyn’s Cove. The whole experience on this beach occurs to be mesmerizing and beautiful.
One can enjoy the tropical monsoon climate at Port Blair throughout the year, which makes the city an all-season visit. If you are visiting the city during summer, you can indulge in water sports like snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, etc. Winters are also one of the best times to visit Andaman and Nicobar Island.
